What band was on Martins Ferrys field tonight.

Rode by Ferrys field tonight and a band was on it practicing. In the rain. Was confused as who it could be. They had on red uniforms. Anyone know?

It was a lacrosse team practicing at the west end of the field however I couldn't see enough to give an age group of the players.

Wheeling Jesuit, they are renting the field while they are getting their new one in place.

I think they have worked out some kind of trade off... Ferry is using the Wheeling Jesuit pool for swimming and its indoor facilities for track. I think WJU is also paying some rent for use of the field

my kids said it's great for the entire district. WJU is opening their aquatic center and indoor track for the MFHS students. Also part of agreement is use of Technology Center/NASA facility. Nice to see Ferry building community relationships for the betterment of the students educational experiences. I'm sure this wouldn't have happened with the former AD at MFHS.

Well this little agreement seems to have hit a snag. WJU no longer welcome is what I'm hearing.

Amazing what people "hear"........the top post was at Friday at 8:54pm, the second post was Friday at 10:25pm, and when I drove past the field on Friday at 7:00pm, the WJU Lacrosse team that is no longer welcome was practicing.
