Big hit for Martins Ferry girls basketball. From day 1, Coach Reasbeck has tried to instill higher goals for this program. He never once thought about jumping ship and genuinely cared about all of his girls. He was dedicated to HIS program and put in more time than 99% of coaches around.
It's a shame that a person on his staff, as well as a few board members had their own agenda.
His resume SHOULD have spoke for itself....OVAC Championship, 6 winning seasons.
NCFAN42 is correct, someone else is going to take credit the next few years for the success of the Lady Rider program. Dave stayed through the rebuilding process and had this team on the brink of some great seasons.
Dave will bounce back and be just fine. If he decides to coach again, the program he goes to will be getting a great coach and a great person.

Tina Yates is a former Shadyside Lady Tiger. I would be shocked if she took the Martins Ferry job. She has done a tremendous job with LT's and this year will be an outstanding one. Shadyside has such a great basketball program - stay put Tina! As for the girls coming up - don't read negative posts - prepare for the future by working hard to keep the tradition of LT basketball rolling!Tiger Pride Is On Our Side!!

I'm thinking she was the female asst he had last year. It must have been some really bad back stabbing to get him to leave. He had his whole team coming back, not to mention one of the best players in the valley (Kinney). He was a great coach and one h@!! of a guy. Martins Ferry just took a step back.
