Vertex Wrestling Club
Summer is over and wrestling is right around the corner. The Vertex Wrestling Club in Martins Ferry is holding their practices every Tuesday & Thursday 6-730 and Sundays at 9am. This is a great opportunity to get an upperhand on opponents and to maximize your childrens technique. Right now we have all age groups coming, last season once the year began we had roughly 15 kids per practice and we hope to build on that this year. Right now we only charge $5.00 per practice. Owners and coaches are Scott Roth and Clay Tucker, both former division 1 college wrestlers. The location is at the old Steeple Valley Middle School in Martins Ferry. Will the schedule stay the same now that the season has begun? I know you guys switched it up a little last year to accomadate the little guys more.Comment

scoot, you work with alot of high school kids but do u know of any jr.high wrestlers coming into this season that should do well?Comment

Most of the guys are either little guys or high school kids. Some of the guys to look for in the area that have been to practices at Vertex are Dalton Hoover from Ferry, Jackson Muldrew Shadyside, I think Nick Beckett and Cody Albaugh from Bellaire are both Jr. High this year, Joseph Bonfini from Shadyside would be up there but he is out with a football injury, most likely for the whole season.Originally posted by purplepin View Post
We do have a few 5th and 6th graders that will be moving into Jr. High in the next couple years who are going to be very tough.Comment
