Monroe Central vs Shadyside

Monroe Central is coming off a disappointing 13-7 loss to Columbiana in which the Seminoles gave up 291 yards on the ground. In contrast, Shadyside rushed for 275 yards as the Tigers prevailed 24-13 over Strasburg in Week 1.  Expect Shadyside to continue their ground attack against a weak Seminole defense.

Prediction: Shadyside wins 22-7 in dominating fashion. 

Indian Creek vs Linsly

Indian Creek is coming off an impressive 55-7 victory over Weir, with Creek dominating on both sides of the field.  They will have their hands full this week with a Linsly team lead by quarterback Alex Stephens who last week connected on 12 of 18 passes for 165 yards, with 4 of his throws going to standout Akil Blount for 61 yards.

Prediction: Linsly wins 35-29 in a shoot out. 

St. Clairsville vs Brooke

In a 33-22 loss, Brooke didn’t have an answer for Parkersburg’s Alex Ash who threw for 198 yards on 13 of 18 attempts, while rushing for 66 yards on the ground.  Led by their strong armed junior quarterback, St. Clairsville scored 40 points last week as Matt Kinnick went 20 of 29 for 396 yards and 4 touchdowns.

Prediction: St. Clairsville wins 38-27.
