PAC 8 Track & Field Championship

This past Thursday we were privileged enough to watch some middle school track and field. This was the Pac 8 Track and Field Championships held at John Marshall High School on Thursday. Teams were made up from school in the Pac 8 which are Bridge Street, Brooke, Cameron, Moundsville, Sherrard, Triadelphia, Warwood, and Wheeling Middle.

We love to see the future high school athletes take part in this activity. Not only does it give us a sense of who will be great at the next level, but it’s just fun. At the middle school level, it is still about competition, but you can tell it’s about fun too. Some of these kids are out there because their friends are. Maybe they just want to be active or just try something new. Whatever their reasons are it’s a good reason. Having kids being physically active and being part of something larger than themselves is always a good thing. Hats off to all these competitors and the event organizers.
