PITTSBURGH – After the NFL and the Players Association agreed to a 10-year collective bargaining agreement today, the Steelers officially announced that camp will indeed begin on time.
“It’s a great day for the NFL and football fans everywhere and we’re excited to be back this week,” Steelers President Art Rooney, II said. “Our goal is the same, to win a championship, and we’re looking forward to getting back to the business of being prepared for the 2011 season.”
Rookies and Veterans will report to Saint Vincent College in Latrobe, PA this Thursday and practices begin on Friday, with afternoon practices being open to the public.
The Steelers have been training at Saint Vincent College since 1966.
Steelers veteran WR and Dancing with the Stars champion Hines Ward will be entering his 14th training camp at Saint Vincent College, leading all current Steelers for attendance in Latrobe. Aaron Smith ranks second on that list entering his 13th Steelers training camp.
