WHEELING — It was a weekend of blowouts and shockers, on the Ohio Valley playoff football scene. St. Clairsville and Fort Frye secured convincing victories while Shadyside rallied and then pulled away from rival River.
On the West Virginia side, everyone around the state was shocked to see top-seeded Cameron fall at home to No. 16 Gilmer County, which now visits Wheeling Central this week. The Maroon Knights blew out long-time rival Moorefield on the turf at Wheeling Island Stadium.
Speaking of that stadium, its tennant Wheeling Park, took one on the chin at top-seeded Huntington. But fear not, TWBAI faithful, for the Patriots are going to be loaded next season.
