WHEELING — The percentages keep going up. That’s not to brag, but rather reiterate what I said earlier in the season pertaining to it being easier to select games the deeper we get.<\/p>\n

The Steubenville teams — Big Red and Catholic Central — provided two of my losses this week, and St. Clairsville topped Bellaire in a toss up game that could have gone either way.<\/p>\n

But now it’s getting down to the nitty gritty and playoff positioning — and in some cases berths themselves — are coming into focus.
\nLet’s not delay any farther and get into this week’s selections.<\/p>\n

Friday<\/strong>
\nOak Glen 23, Brooke 17
\nThe Bruins are markedly improved, but the Bears have a little more fire power.<\/em><\/p>\n

Wheeling Park 27, Morgantown 21
\nIt would be understandable if the Patriots come out more than a little rusty.<\/em><\/p>\n

Williamstown 34, Weir 13
\nSecond straight Class A power on the schedule for the Red Riders.<\/em><\/p>\n

Magnolia 26, Frontier 20
\nBlue Eagles get back in the victory column.<\/em><\/p>\n

Trinity 37, Hundred 6
\nTrinity rebounds from loss to Cameron.<\/em><\/p>\n

Wheeling Central 42, Martins Ferry 7
\nThis is the time the Maroon Knights generally shine.<\/em><\/p>\n

\nIt’s been a rough stretch for the Red Knights.<\/em><\/p>\n
