His goal with 1:28 to go in the first period broke the record previously held by Jake Holland (2014-17).<\/p>\n<p><strong>THE BASICS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Final Score: Bethany 9, Wilmington 6<\/p>\n<p>Records: Bethany 2-2 (0-0), Wilmington 1-4 (0-0)<\/p>\n<p><strong>HOW IT HAPPENED<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>It didn&#8217;t take long for the Bison to take the early lead over the Quakers.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bethanybison.com\/sports\/mlax\/2022-23\/bios\/yingling_clay_79o7\">Clay Yingling<\/a>\u00a0scored his first goal of the game from a pass by\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bethanybison.com\/sports\/mlax\/2022-23\/bios\/sinclair_conor_if6m\">Conor Sinclair<\/a>. The Bison took a 2-0 lead after\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bethanybison.com\/sports\/mlax\/2022-23\/bios\/rogers_raymond_jc20\">Raymond Rogers<\/a>\u00a0found the back of the net.<\/li>\n<li>Wilmington cut the deficit in half scoring with 7:21 to go in the first period. Yingling scored his second goal of the game on a behind the back shot to give the Bison a 3-1 lead.<\/li>\n<li>In the second, the Quakers outscored the Bison 3-2.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bethanybison.com\/sports\/mlax\/2022-23\/bios\/britton_tyler_hv7u\">Tyler Britton<\/a>\u00a0scored twice for the Bison to help keep the Bison lead. Bethany led 5-4 heading into the halftime break.<\/li>\n<li>In the final two periods, Bethany outscored Wilmington 4-2 to take the win. Both Yingling and Britton had two goals apiece in the second half.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>BISON TOP PERFORMERS<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bethanybison.com\/sports\/mlax\/2022-23\/bios\/britton_tyler_hv7u\">Tyler Britton<\/a>\u00a0led the Bison with four goals and one assist.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bethanybison.com\/sports\/mlax\/2022-23\/bios\/yingling_clay_79o7\">Clay Yingling<\/a>\u00a0added four goals of his own.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bethanybison.com\/sports\/mlax\/2022-23\/bios\/rogers_raymond_jc20\">Raymond Rogers<\/a>\u00a0had one goals and a team-high two assists.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bethanybison.com\/sports\/mlax\/2022-23\/bios\/sinclair_conor_if6m\">Conor Sinclair<\/a>\u00a0had two assists.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bethanybison.com\/sports\/mlax\/2022-23\/bios\/rogers_john_8cto\">John Rogers<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bethanybison.com\/sports\/mlax\/2022-23\/bios\/taylor_rob_8xyf\">Rob Taylor<\/a>\u00a0led the Bison with three caused turnovers.
