Looks like some of the top teams in each division will be on the outside looking in. It won't hurt the OVAC if they make this Friday the cutoff date.

actually, if you really look at the standings, the only top team that is really effected by the weather is madonna in single A, probably the best team in that class, still needing 3 ovac games. AAAA has morgantown and zanesville are in the top 4 not qualifying because of to few ovac games, but those two don't play an ovac schedule. AAA and AA are not effected. Madonna is truely the only casualty of bad weather. with that being said, i still feel that this and every year the tournament should be held over 1 weekend.....this could be the year to try that.

Single A is a soup sandwich right about now. Does anybody know the status on Madonna? Trinity and Valley won't make it in because they lack 6. Conotton Valley won't get in either. If Madonna doesn't make it, that leave Toronto, Cameron, Bishop, and Hundred? WOW

Other teams are definitely effected because of the rain. Although some did get their required 6 games in, when your rainouts are all of the upper classes on your schedule, your average goes down. I know this is bad luck, but looking at hounds 4 in single A, aside from top 2, is that really a championship series? At 9-2, Linsly does not get in and you would be hard pressed to tell me that they are not a top 4 team in aa/possibly the OVAC. Fort Frye and Shenendoah will get waxed again in the first round (unless they play each other) by Barnesville and Shadyside. It happened last year when Linsly and SCC mercy ruled both of their first round opponents, which I believe were the 2 previously mentioned.

i agree that linsly is a top 4 team in AA, but what has really hurt them is the loss to barnesville and shadyside....and the win vs. st. johns hurt there average....i agree that loosing some of the big schools do to rain hurt the average, but the previously mentioned losses basically may be the real reason linsly does not make it.....win one of those games your in the top 4.....if weather cooperates linsly still has a decent shot of getting in........linsly should easily handle oak glenn (worth 46 points), payback shadyside (worth 44 points) who play wed/thur?.....i think the cadets still control their own destiny.

Need to win and get help. Wednesday is cutoff I believe and we are open. Would be nice if barnesville, oak Glenn, JM, or trail would play makeup. I think Shenandoah plays fort frye before the cutoff. Need fort frye to win. Weather doesn't look good for next 2 days. I think they will miss playoffs at 9-2.

It doesn't look good for Monday (60% chance of rain) or Tuesday (70% chance). Everybody is worried about baseball games, how about me, I am on spring break and can't golf. LOL

If Linsly does not make it with a 9-2 record and WM doesn't make it because the lack of games that would be insane.

jm may be the most likely to "want" to make up game.....looks like they are locked in tight battle with wp for the 4th playoff spot in AAAA and indian creek for 3rd place.....beating linsly would help there average as linsly would be worth 48 points to jm.....however, this could be a points bonanza for linsly...jm would be worth 58 points to linsly....oak glenn probably has no desire making anything up and barnesville probably like were they are sitting right now....would not want to give linsly another chance to beat them.....jm may need this game as bad as linsly....could happen

Linsly almost didn't make it last year. It came down to the last night. Maybe they should make a better effort at scheduling more aaa early. I don't know why that doesn't happen. It could be our scheduling or tough to get opponents. Either way, it's a long shot this year. Don't think JM is a possibility.

need to get the your mudcat coaching assistant to call his old coach.....i think your ad did do a little better job of scheduling larger schools, but not enough.....also the A schools hurt your average, especially when they are as bad as stc.....i still think you have a shot....you get in you have good shot at winning it

How well does the field at Linsly take water? I know last Friday (April 8th) that New Martinsville had a good amount of rain, including a gulley-washer around 2:30, but Magnolia was still able to play softball at their new field. Some fields drain better than others.
