WKKX does a very good job with high school sports. I listen every Friday to hear score updates from other games the whole night. The post game show is very informative. The Friday pre-game is mostly opinions and they each have their own. I think Ty brings the most insight since he is probably still close to most coaches. I can not comment on the Saturday game because I did not listen to it. A person can make a comment and people will interpret it in various ways. Maybe they do have too much of a Wheeling flavor on their show, but guess what, they are a Wheeling station. I do not agree with every comment but that does not mean they are wrong. Overall I think they do a very good job of covering and promoting high school sports.

One person they could look into adding toward the end of the year would be John Simonson, the guy is absolutely the best when it comes to playoff possibilities.Comment

I would say for a fact that John Simonson will NOT be added to the broadcast and it has nothing to do with his knowledge of the game or playoff points. I also like WKKX's broadcast and can't think of an area this size (other than maybe Texas) where a radio station does so much to cover the area football scene. Also, I feel I need to make the statement that I don't believe John Blackmore is an idiot or a loser, no matter what anyone says.Comment

WKKX spends countless hours broadcasting events throughout this valley for the kids & I actually got a chance to listen to this broadcast. Chad & Coach Mark did not make fun of any kid. I did hear them joke around about Jerry Ames wearing #70 and kicking for WV back in the day. I wish some of you knew how much time John Blackmore puts into High School SPorts around this valley.... If it wasn't for him we wouldn't have OVAC Basketball Coverage, State Basketball & Football Coverage & the list goes on.
