First of all I don't want 2 take anything away from the boys because they work there tails off. But the loses this year of potential players have been a big blow. I didn't brag on Lee to much but I don't really think a lot of people know the impact he could have had on the field. Someone once described him as a combination of Zach & Dwight. Of course I watched every game he played & watched him take over a lot of games. He was a threat to score anywhere on the field. Next if u add Malik on the field that gives u probably 2 of the best athletes in the valley on the field. Next if u add Trent then u could flank Lee out at WR at times, now u have 3 6'2 or better receivers that can make plays after the catch. Like I said this would cripple any team not having 3 of their best players & 2 of the best athletes in the valley.Last edited by elmski; 10-06-2012, 04:10 AM.

Ill get strait to the issues here and these are the facts as I see them .
You guys want the truth here it is
Those crimes committed or allegedly hurt our team in many ways.
First of all Our starting qb is in jail and he was a baller and the other kid was too at wideout I believe was his position.
Other issues obviously are the mental effects of our team with so much media scrutiny against kids still playing . Im sure that has wore on the teenagers which is what they are teenagers.
Our special teams have been weak this year allowing two punt returns for a td ,with one called back against DC , a faked punt agaisnt us , two botched KO returns tonight , a blocked FG for a TD . Its been deplorable.
Another thing we lack IMO is Tight man to man coverage in the deffensive backfield . We always seem to lack size in that area for some reason and we have been exposed several times this year.
Our lines are playing inconsistant this year .
We have limited experiance at TB but still have good hard runners
We lost a couple of good kids to Toronto and one would have been a standout this year for us at the special teams level in returning kicks and at TB . That hurt us
We still have talent and we still can compete . Its up to the desire of the kids and coaches . I think we can win our region . I dont see any powerhouse in it this year . Its totally up for grabs .
I just gave you guys my reasons for many of our problems . Before people come with the " those are excuses comments " , I say read the thread title . Im just enlightning some people who live down southLast edited by richard cranium; 10-06-2012, 10:54 AM.

The events of January and August have taken a tremendous toll on the kids and the coaches. Loss of players is one thing, but the mental after effects are far greater than most of us can understand.
The offense does not have the "playmakers" that they have had in the past, nobody who is a threat to take over a game. The play calling is pretty vanilla but that is probably just where the comfort zone is at this point.
The QB, while playing hard on every snap, is a first year quarterback none the less. Being kind of small, he struggles with vision over the line and the ability to throw down the field with any accuracy
Most of the passing routes end up being comebacks or shortened routes where the receivers catch the ball going back to the QB or at least stopping, which means YAC for every one of them is not very good
The OL has not been outplayed but they have been out quicked pretty much every game...last night being an example...just got beat to gaps alot
The DB's are all athletic, but they play not to get beat deep. How many times have you watched them stop and watch the ball come in. If you don't believe that, then count the picks and breakups...not many
There are kids on the field who play tentatively. Probably the most surprising thing for a Big Red team. From catching to running to returns on offense, to open field hits on defense, just a lot of tentative plays
Last thing...they are not getting better, which is the hardest part to watch. I really think that they need to change up this week. Maybe a new face of two to get everyone's attention and bump the intensity up.
That said, the defense is pretty good against the run. The pass defense needs to "own" the ball when it's in the air, and the offense needs to find a way to score 21 points a game and hope the defense can close it out
As someone said earlier, this is not a "come from behind team". They totally outplayed Massillon except for the first six minutes. But they still lost. They have to get a lead or stay within a score or it's big trouble.
It's still Big Red and they are still a pretty darn good football team. Time to make a few adjustments and try to win out. RRR

A quick look at R11,compliments of Joe Eitel, teams with a good chance of moving up based on the schedules they have left are Philo(games left with opponents record of 16-5),John Glenn(17-4),Cambridge and Struthers(both 14-7).IC's remaining opponents are 10-11,Big Red's are 10-6.

Losing Hayden has hurt the offense IMO, because he was the big play game breaker.
And losing him on defense hurt too, since he played a lot last year.
Now, as was said earlier, we are more of a grind it out type of offense. We may as well go double tight and a stacked I every play.www.rollredroll.com

I haven't seen Corey do anything to embarass the uniform, and you need to get off the BS. The prisoners are on their own, whining crap like this is pitiful.
