What's up with this Spooked thing King ? I don't think any team is spooked, scared, or afraid of another team. Maybe a better word would be intimidated, and in the past years this would be true. This year W-P has the talent to make this a good game.
BR is banged up, lacks depth, and yes some will say the overall talent level of teams in the past.
This is a big game for both teams, with a lot on the line. BR wins & they will punch their ticket for the playoffs, lose & they will be sitting at home come week #11.
A victory for W-P, moves them up a number of spots in the standings & helps them get prepared for a long run in the W.V playoffs.
IMO, it doesn't come down to who is the better team, but who wants this game more !
Look I know many are still reeling over the Ursuline whooping, however, this young team had they won that game or Saliesinum (which they should have) we wouldn't be so down on this squad. Still think the prolonged platooning hurt us but we still are a very good football team in a weak region. My bell weather is Massillon, we hung till late~this is a very good football team in the thick of a D II charge (and they have two huge games coming up) they gave D-I Fitch all they could handle and Fitch has the 11th overall toughest schedule in the great state of Ohio. Early when Glen Oak lost to Massillon in OT I said well they over achieved in that game, some said Glenoak was a good football team. Well after a 3-1 start they have dropped 4 in a row, and I stated "well GlenOak is GlenOak" ...well vs Big Red "Park is Park" until proven otherwise. Agree with Cannoli, Big Red's season is far from "over". I'm not abandoning ship yet on this young squad, however, still can't believe that effort or should I say non effort vs a so-so Ursuline team.
Just trying to pizz a few people off even if it's from the bleachers. If we lose to Wheeling in football I know we have problems . We did hang with Massillon and they will probably winstate this year . Wheeling is no Massillon but I have a feeeling we will have to handle an early flurry of hay makers . If Wheeling has any heart that is. I hope they do .
I still take Big Red's schedule over Parks. Like Wheeling Parks coach said "Any team in the valley would be 5-3 with their schedule". I also believe Big Red would also be 6-1 if they had Parks schedule maybe 7-0 (maybe)

Massillon might not even make the playoffs. They are 8th right now and they have 2 undefeated teams left..could go either way..

Nope, wheeling kids have no heart...only Ohio teams can claim to have that...I mean they have all the talent so they must have all the heart. Do you people really think this way? You are a complete joke. Coming from a team that laid down to Ursiline, you really want to play the no heart line. I have no crystal ball as to who will win, (but believe this game is only close due to the injury to Bryce Ingram which took away te homerun threat), but stop with the heart /no heart nonsense. Come see these boys play Morgantown and Bridgeport and through all the adversity they played hard until the end. Worry more about who will be left to coach Steubenville next season than wondering if kids in WHeeling have heart.
Neutral...they are all yours. I now need to remove myself from the lunacy.

2nd Indictment just handed down- word in the 'Ville is there may be some coaches missing Friday, let's just say for legal reasons.
But Park has no heart....Really? Maybe you all won in past cause was better. So when Park kills Big Red in basketball is it because the basketball doesn't have heart?
Amazing...Now Reno has to do some coaching lately and hmmm, 5-3 and may be worse....HHHmmm.

Just who in the valley do you think is a good coach? If Reno isn't the best coach let me know who is?
The injury to Ingram is the only thing that gives me pause in this one. He was a difference maker who on any carry could go the distance. Now Park will need to grind out long drives for points. If Ingram did not get injured in Morgantown game Park wins. Should be a great game. The pressure is all on Park, where it should be. In the end, I'll take Park in a close one.
And to those talking the competition angle, I agree to an extent as this past week was essentially a bye week for Park. Elkins is not a good football team at all.
I agree with you that Ingram can go the distance on any play but most of Park's season has been played without him. My point is that Park is still a good team without him.
Didn't know you had to be. Big Red will pound the ball . I saw what WP gave up to Morgantown . Check the stats after the game . Big Red will score 40 or more . I don't know what they will give up but points will be scored and many yards will be gained. I just wonder if Wheeling Park will bring more than 500 fans to this game. This is the best chance they have had at Big Red in over 30 years.
The stats don't truly tell how EXCEPTIONAL Chazzy Thomas is for a high school player in this area. I guarantee that Big Red would have problems tackling him. Morgantown is an average team if he isn't playing.
I do think Reno is a probably best coach, yes has amazing talent but also did a fine job keeping a tight grip on them, well, most of them...
I'm kidding, but like all, the two great coaches only talked about are the coaches that had talent and won, let's see when talent is a little down.
Now is Park's coach the greatest coach in valley all of a sudden? Did he change styles or has a very talented team...
We've talked basically of two coaches Central and Big Red, both don't have the talent as in past, and let's see what season ends up like.
