No need for Big Red to worry about getting a field goal kicker now.

In my opinion, the 3 biggest losers here are Indian Creek, Harrison Central and Shadyside.

Indian Creek and Harrison Central will both likely have to go 9-1 or 10-0 to qualify for the playoffs at all in their new regions. They simply are not going to get enough points for beating up on Buckeye Local, Edison, Oak Glen, River View, etc.

For Shadyside, they are now in the same division as Coldwater and Creston Norwayne, in addition to Marion Local, Mogadore, Kirtland and Newark Catholic. Good luck!

The biggest winner is probably Big Red, simply because Columbus Bishop Hartley is now out of the way.

On the other hand, for the past 2 seasons, Big Red may as well have been given a bye to the state title game. Was there ever any question that they would get to the title game in either of the last 2 seasons? I don't think so.

Having the Youngstown Catholic schools back in their division at least gives Big Red some type of competition on the road to the title game.
I can't see this hurting Creek or Harrison.....It just means a 10 week season now.....Neither has ever won a playoff game.....Shadyside could be a big loser....But they believe in their program.....They may step-up

Creek has to win the title for "The biggest loser", no question about it. Scheduled filled with D-4 & 5 teams, that don't win a lot. Could go 10-0 & still no playoffs, but will have to wait & see.

                  Yeah.

It seems like they are due to step up, though.

Again, most people wanna see big red lose, but in the end big red people wanna see other schools win state titles. Anytime a valley team plays for a title, I know I want them to win, even if the beat us. We have a very good record one on one against Ursuline and not so against mooney. When mooney beat us the lay hands on us too. But we keep coming back and playing at a state championship level regardless. Honestly and excuse my language but ?&(& mooney and Ursuline. They can come get this business and I'll say it every year too and if they whoop us they whoop us, they don't they don't. I would say more but I don't wanna get booted.

I love my Shadyside 'Tigers' but always cheer on Steubenville 'Big Red'...they're in a class by themselves in Ohio Valley football. We see them represent our area almost every year in the playoffs. I know there is a time coming that Shadyside and Steubenville will win state championships in the same year! When playoffs come, we cheer for our own and enjoy the success of any Ohio Valley school.

It hurts both. Probably just about the same. Both teams have to go 10-0 with a minimum of 9-1.
