Shadyside will not lose two games in a row. Young or not Bellaire has a very long way to go.

What decade did Bellaire last beat Shadyside? Have a hard time believing Big Reds win another game this season. Too young.

I'm not sure how many realize this, but Shadyside is far from a guarantee to make the playoffs this year. According to Joe Eitel, the Tigers are only 9th in the stacked Region 23 right now. Being in the larger division this year is clearly making things more difficult than usual for Shadyside.

Point being-- If Shadyside loses to Bellaire, there is a very good chance the Tigers will miss the playoffs entirely.

As for Bellaire, the playoff heart is still beating. The Big Reds have to win out for any realistic shot, though.

Jello Man...Agree that the 'Tigers' drop to #9 in Joe Eitel's rankings should make them realize they need to win out now. Missing the playoffs for Shadyside would be a huge disappointment for the team and the community. Hopefully the 'Tigers' assert themselves this week as time is running out for playoff rankings.

So either way you look at it. Both Bellaire and shadyside need to win out to make the playoffs. Which makes this game huge if you look at it that way. I think it’s gonna be a toss up really. On one hand it’s hard seeing Shadyside losing back to back. The coaches will have these boys fired up and ready to play. Bellaire needs this win desperately to just build them back up after getting beat these past couple of weeks after playing big physical schools! I think this game should be a dandy to watch! As always go big reds! And my daughter would say go tigers since she goes there now haha

jlittleton15...good post. I'm sure both teams realize this is a big game in the playoff picture. Weather may? come into play with rain/wind from Nate...who knows? We've been fortunate with good weather but this is the Ohio Valley and it changes fast...you know that. This will be a very physical game and I have an opinion about who should win but...I'll just keep that to myself. Enjoy your 'Big Reds' kid. smile

According to Drew Pasteur Shadyside is a near lock for the playoffs even at 6-4, Bellaire needs to win out to have an 85% chance to get in as of now.

powtowner...why is Joe Eitel's site so different from Drew Pasteur's site? Drew Pasteur has Shadyside #2 and a strong contender of home field in playoffs. Joe Eitel shows Shadyside at #9 meaning they aren't in top eight (8) playoff contenders. Explain...please. smile

I'm not sure if Shadyside is better then St C., maybe a little to close to call. St C. might have a little more depth and speed. Where St. C.excelled against Bellaire was they played near perfect ball, few penalties and no turnovers.

In all four of the Bellaire losses they have been the victim of poor clock managment, penalties and turnovers. Bellaire will need to play that perfect game to beat Shadyside and maybe still need help .

joe's site is the points as of now.... today.... Drew's site uses an algorhythm (sp) for how he predicts the the rest of the season will end up. The problem with drew is he doesnt track out of state teams. Which many teams play and he mostly counts it as a win. After comparing results i dont think linsly is a sure win.... By my math, with a win this week Shadyside will be around 7 with a loss to linsly, maybe 6. Which is a pretty good spot. Stay away from Nelsonville York, St. CC should finish below so stay away from them too.

If bellaire by chance wins out they are in 6-4 85% in that's more in likely saying that's a lock but they still need to take it one game at a time first up the tigers question for anyone how good is the secondary for the tigers are they better then st c

Well.. I’ve seen shadyside play twice and both times both teams was a run heavy team. But anyone can correct me if I’m wrong.. but I think Meadowbrook threw for over 300 yards in the game against shadyside.. but mason hasn’t played great against shadyside in the last couple of years either.. I’d be more worried about shadysides pass rush.. which is why we need to mix it up.. but we will see
