Does anybody have the all time record for the Red Devils?
Season by season, head coach each year?
A detailed breakdown?
These records are currently being researched...but what has been found is there are no records found for the years..1923, 26, 28, and 30.... but records compiled from 1920-2017 minus the previously listed seasons has the Red Devils overall record of 524 wins 310 losses and 46 ties...these have been compiled by Coach Ridgeway...and he would have the totals for both Stranger and Young...

Nick Wasylik took over for Coach Flowers after graduating at Ohio State. He is the Buckeyes Hall of Fame as a football, basketball and baseball player. He lettered for years for coach Francis Schmidt who instituted the golden pants tradition for victories over Michigan. In those for years, 1934-1937, the bucks won all 4 games and were unscored upon by the Wolverines. One of his teammates was future Martins Ferry head coach Gomer Jones. Both were also All Americans in football.
If you want to see the game by game results you can go to my website. www.fourseasonsfootball.com . Click on the WV icon. Scroll down and there is a small section of Ohio schools. When you click on the school name you get the game by game results. There are a handful of scores missing from games that I know who won and lost but not the score. There is some home / away information missing. And I am still trying to figure out information on Red Devil Stadium. When did they start playing there? Was it always called Red Devil Stadium? I know there were a few years in the 60's that they played at Bridgeport. Was this because they were upgrading facilities?
Thanks for the updated info, appreciate it. Mike Young did better than I previously thought, as I remembered his last year at 0-10, but he only had 1 other losing season which wasn't that bad at 4-6.
Here is some more info on Coach George Strager:

The stands were all wood in the early 60's and there was a fire that destroyed them and were soon replaced by the concrete structure. If you see the gap during the depression and the return of football thereafter, Tiger Flowers renamed the the mascot as the Red Devils. Prior to that it is possible the mascot was the Tigers. Not sure if there was another football location early in the history of the program.
I believe Strager won a state championship in football and basketball at sistersville. He also was head basketball coach at St. C for a couple years in mid 70’s

Strager just won the WVa Class B Football State Championship in 1953, never coached for a WVa basketball championship for the Tigers.
