    Week 12: #3 Hubbard (10-1) vs #2 Steubenville (10-1) @ Boardman

    QB contain seems to be the name of the game this week. The Hubbard QB has apparently given everyone fits with his athleticism and feet, but is also capable of hitting the deep ball. If we can bring the pressure we have been, I think we can neutralize him. Coach Filtz is apparently incredibly creative given some of the exotic looks we've seen this year, and I'm sure he will have a well laid plan in place this week.

    On offense, ground and pound as usual. Why fix something that isn't broken. Keep them honest, keep it simple, and wear them down by the 4th quarter. That said, wouldn't be surprised to see a new wrinkle or two introduced to loosen up the box a little, especially since they platoon like we do.

    Love Boardman too... great venue where seating and parking aren't an issue. And great food options all over the place as well lol.

    I'll take the Red in a pretty good tilt

    Big Red by 20. Two best players for Hubbard are #4 and #10. Big Reds team speed and toughness overwhelms the Eagles. Once again the state practically gives Big Reds opponent a home game, but it won’t matter. On a side note, Hubbard’s band is very good. Best of luck to Big Red.

          I agree Big Red rolls if they play their game. Another good running and passing QB; seems like we are being singled out, huh. Yes, Boardman has parking, seating and ample food around. No complaints. Happy to be playing.

              I like neutral site playoff games. Especially on Saturday. Go up early for dinner and a little pre-game drink action.

              That being said, didn't think they would put the game that close to Hubbard. I was betting it would have been in Salem.

                  Some of my favorite eateries outside the major chains;

                  Michael Alberini of Youngstown Boardman Ohio area dining at it's best. Upscale yet casual dining with an Italian menu with a variety of American cuisine.

                    ... With a name like that, I'd rather eat at the DQ !!! lol .. Look for me and all my Big Red cousins at the game.
                    I'll be the one wearing the BL hat !! That should bring you a lot of luck !! lol
                    ... I look for a tight 1st half but see Big Red galloping to an easy 35-14 win !!!!

                      Until East Liverpool get turf Big Red will be rewarded away games in Youngstown with Youngstown area teams in 2nd and 3rd round . Big Red should win unless they forget to keep that fast back inside. When is the OHSAA going to give higher seeded teams at least 2 home games? West Virginia get it right as does Pennsylvania, and probably 45 other states .

                        It’s fine the way it is. I like getting away from Harding Stadium every now and then. As do many Big Red fans. We like traveling, because we do it so well and come in large numbers.

                        It’s not broke so don’t fix it

                          Sure and not everybody can travel up to Ytown . It is broke but don't worry apathetic people will continue to let the OHSAA steal from us and others . I think the OHSAA is corrupt as hell. but RRR anyway and Boardman is a nice place.

                            I can recall a game at East Liverpool, cold rainy night, think part of my left butt check is still stuck to the bleacher, lol.
                            With your question about 2 home playoff games, and why Ohio doesn’t do it, just change a few letters around from OHSSA to OHASS, then you should understand their logic of thinking by them, lol
