Each team gets 1-5 kids for all-conference depending on their end of the year conference standing. There is also a banquet for these kids and their head coaches at Steubenville high school some time in January. It was canceled this year though due to weather. It is not posted anywhere other than the paper as far as I know."The Price of anything is the amount of life you exchange for it" -Henry David Thoreau

FOOTBALL ALL-CONFERENCE
Effective 2018 - 2019
1. The Ohio Valley Football Coaches’ Association, which represents the football coaches
of the OVAC, recommended the following procedure in selecting All-Conference football teams.
TEAM RANK PLAYERS PER SCHOOL
(Based on
Power Rating) Team Honorable Mention
1 5 3
2 4 3
3 3 3
4 3 3
5 2 3
6 2 2
7 2 2
8 2 2
9 2 2
10 1 2
2. Each coach, along with his staff, shall
determine which players from his school shall be
placed on the All-Conference team.
3. After the final team ratings have been
computed, each coach shall submit a list of his
honorees to the Commissioner by the date announced.
4. Each coach may designate his players
at an offensive position, defensive position, specialist, or some combination of the above.
5. The All-Conference teams shall be released to the news media by the Executive Secretary, according to schools, not by offensive or
defensive team.
EXAMPLE: Joe Jones, offensive guard
defensive end
Bob Smith, quarterback
Bill Black, kicker
6. NO EXCEPTIONS to the allotted number of players will be allowed, team or honorable mention.
7. If the coach desires to place a kicker or
other specialist on the team, he must count him in
his allotted number.
8. If two teams tie in the standings, they
both receive the allotment for that position.
9. There will be five (5) All-Conference
teams, one for each class.
10. Certificates will be given to those firstteam honorees by the OVAC.
NOTE: All positions must be filled before any releases are made to the media and
the public.

Dave Clutter, Football Commissioner
Bob Koch, All-Star Game Director
