Bellaire might win one, but lose to an average Cambridge team and get blown out tonight. Not good. Good luck!

Big Red just went for 2 and lost in OT to a now 6-0 Div. 2 Austintown Fitch team. Their schedules are much different. I believe Big Red would be at least a 2 or 3 TD favorite. Can't overlook Beaver Local's 2 score loss to an average 3-3 East Liverpool team. On a positive note, hats off to Beaver Local on a great season so far. Good to see.

Lou Holtz said, "you're never as good as people say and never as bad as people say" (or something like that). ALL area teams are suffering from no scrimmages and the regular season had to be the proving ground so...some took losses. Think if Shadyside went back and replayed their season...could be 5-1?? They really didn't show up vs Wheeling Central and were beaten pretty badly but only lost to Bellaire and Martins Ferry by one (1) touchdown. Bellaire is a good defensive team...get their offense cranking before playoffs and they will win some. Martins Ferry is a good team and should move on in the playoffs. River runs their offense behind #22 Carter Dennis who has to be one of the best in the area. Shadyside defense couldn't stop him all night EXCEPT for the two-point conversion River tried to tie the game at 27-27. Defense came up big for the 'TIGERS' and made sure Carter Dennis went nowhere. If there is a rematch in the Regional - bet Shadyside tries to figure a way to stop him. River is a good solid team ...hope Shadyside doesn't run into them again. Steubenville 'BIG RED' has vastly improved...they almost beat Fitch! GO AREA TEAMS! smileTiger Pride Is On Our Side!!

Calpreps doesn't agree. On a neutral field, Big Red would only win by a field goal.Originally posted by TheRealManowar View PostBig Red would beat the daylights out of Beaver.
It's no use, bigreds pride. Your objectivity is useless against their preprogrammed responses. Your best bet is to just beat it, like Michael Jackson taught us all in the 1980's. It's only a matter of time before they get their full swagger back and starting beating you over the head with their trophies. No one else in the Valley can hang with them, just New Philly - two years in a row. Everyone else would lose by 60 or forfeit. That's just the way it is. Not even worth playing the games because they're just that good on paper.Originally posted by bigreds pride View PostBig red couldn't even score against new Philadelphia even Cambridge scored against new Philadelphia
Too late for that. Their offense is as lethargic as ever. Sighs.. there's always next year. How are the Lady Tigers looking for basketball? I've kind of checked out on football and hoping somebody outside of Steubenville makes a run in basketball.Originally posted by shadysidesue View PostBellaire is a good defensive team...get their offense cranking before playoffs and they will win some.

Only as it relates to Big Red’s weaknesses since Bellaire and Shadyside don’t play this week. Your ass-whooping at New Philly was really something for the ages.. I can’t help but talk about it. If you play NP again in five weeks, do you think you’ll improve upon your 31-0 ass-whooping to the Quakers? Come on now, you joined in.. can’t back out now. RRR
