          Sure about that?

I know when I played with Justin, he had 6 interceptions on defense, and at that time, he set the Schools single season recieving record, that would later be broke by Nick Shanks, and then later by Brett Jordan.

This kid was vastly underated when he played. How about Dustin Hynes as a DB he as a shut down players and a ball hawk.

I had a conversation with Mark Bonar several years back, and I asked him, "While you were at Bellaire, who was one of the best players from St.C that you remember?"

He said, "I remember I was watching films and St.C had a fullback named Matt Henry, and I didnt think we had anybody who could tackle the guy".

I have heard that same story from so many other people...

I was a little too young to remember Matt Henrys playing days... but he is a good friend of my uncles, and to this day, he is physically one of the bigger people I know. I can only picture how good he was.

From what I understand, he had the opportunity to play D1 on scholarships... but he had some family issues that kept him in StC? He is extremely close to his family, and his mother became very ill and he opted to stay close to home rather than leave for college?

That didnt come from his mouth, but thats what I heard...

Justin Clifford played football his SR. year because I remember watching him have his career game at Edison.

Right... if I'm not mistaken, his senior year is the only year he played, and he broke records.

Not that playing in the NFL equates to high school greatness but these guys from St.C. did.

Chester Lagod, UT-Chattanooga and the New York Giants in '53.
Richard Chorovich, Miami and the Baltimore Colts, '55-56 and Chargers '60.
Jim Kerr, Penn St., Washington Redskins, 61-62.
                            Jim Bradshaw, Ut-Chattanooga, Steelers, 63-67.
Marshall Starks, St.C. and Rockford,Ill. West, Illinois and New York Jets, 63-64.
Tim Spencer, OSU, USFL and San Diego Chargers, 85-90.
Dan Morgan, Penn St. and Giants, '87.
                            Robert Lyons, Akron, Browns, '89.
Shawn Vincent, Akron, Steelers in '91.

Ferris "Pudgie" Scott had a nice career in the Canadian Football League. Joe Pabian(Senior) was drafted by the 49'ers but did not make a roster. Bill Bradshaw (Jim's brother)who punted at Bowling Green was in camp with the Colts but had Military service end that.
