Read the book That Dark and Bloody River, by Alan Eckert. It is about the Ohio Valley in the 17 and 1800s. Fascinating book. Crawford is mentioned there. He did many good things but suffered a horrible death at the stake by natives. It is recounted in horrific detail. Actually, he and his comrades also committed atrocities against the Indians.

I have to admit I’m a bit disappointed to see Belpre on the schedule for MC. Quite possibly the worst football program in the state. A team can get in anymore with 3 wins. Schedule up. Play a couple tough teams.

After dropping Edison they'll win 7-9 games, just depending on how well River and Caldwell can reload after these last few years. Numbers still aren't great, so this coming year might be the last one that could be really good for them, Jr High team was pretty bad this past year and will be worse next year. Word is that they're dropping Barnesville soon as well, nobody really knows what to expect after the 2024 season.
