Good afternoon everyone! Saw an article in the TL today regarding Coach Jay Circosta, Monroe Central legendary coach (former Shadyside grad) and his remarkable year of recovery from the serious injuries he received on the sidelines last year when MC was playing Shenandoah. The article stated Coach Circosta walked onto the field at the OVAC All-Star game...great news! We all wish him relief from pain and recovery in the days ahead. On another note, you know when football season is arriving in Shadyside 'Tiger' town...the marching band was lined up on HIghland a little while ago beginning their summer band practices...always makes people come out on their porches to appreciate the hard work these teenagers put in to form a great marching band in another month. Coaches are busy preparing plans for the new season...great time of year. Really think one of Shadyside's great athletes (AARON SILVERIO) would be a great addition to the football and wrestling programs...his experience on the football field and great wrestler would be quite an addition. Have a good day! smile

lol I’d tell Coach C to stick to the press box but he wouldn’t have it any different. He was meant for the sidelines.lol thanks for sharing Sue

Just an update on next year's game. The city of Portsmouth decided to sell 25 acres of land in the city to Shawnee State... This includes historic
Spartan stadium. It's still in the early stages and no one is saying what there plans are.. so there is a chance ND will have to find another stadium to play at or figure out another possible solution...

Read on yappi shadyside lost 25-0 to Buckeye trail in 2 qtrs and played even with beallsville in their 1st one
What are we thinking for wins this year? 3?
            BL, Frontier and Bridgeport?
Saw Portsmouth ND only has 19 kids but most looked pretty athletic so don't know if Shadyside can get that one

How true... Weeks 3&4 should give us an idea about how many games the boys will win..
