Martins Ferry football is really bad. Its not the kids its the Coach not wanting to play anyone that can breathe. You see what happens when they play anyone with any talent. Keep playing that soft schedule Purple Gang.

As soon as it was known Brownsville finished with 14 kids (If Ture) with Bellaire Ferry should have replaced them. I guess they still could replace Brownsville as it would be best for both teams.

Surely Ferry could find someone better to play even if they have to travel a few hours. They have a pretty talented team no use playing Brownsville.

Anyone know if it's a 1 or 2 year contract with Brownsville? I assume just 1 year since Ferry will be picking up UL, BL, and Barnesville for Buckeye 8 play next year.

Ferry will not be tested again till week 10 I hope ferry is 8-1 and bellaire 7-2 for that match up should be a packed house but we will see bellaire has some tough opponents coming up we will see

Martins Ferry should've contacted West Muskingum today and got another home game.
West M was desperate for a game since River View canceled on them.
Playing Brownsville won't be fun to watch for even a casual fan.
The Riders could score 50 by halftime, pad their stats, but learn nothing.

A Martins Ferry Vs West Muskingum game needs to happen. Knowing West Muskingum has this week open it would not look good if Ferry plays Brownsville or does not play a game at all. Looking at Ferry's schedule weeks 6-9 right now are a combined 3-10. No need for a bye week this week. Ferry may even lose to West Muskingum but it will make that talented young team better.
