This game will undoubtedly be decided in the trenches, as Ferry's young offensive and defensive lines face off against Bellaire's experienced, senior-laden units. Ferry must find a way to contain Pettigrew and Web's big-play ability, while Bellaire faces an even tougher challenge in limiting the explosive potential of Cox, Ludolph, Reese, Williams, and Barret. I believe Bellaire can score 21 points, but the key question is whether they can keep Ferry from exceeding that total. I guess we will see if playing a tougher schedule will help Bellaire.Last edited by Purpura Ascensores; 10-19-2024, 06:37 PM.

Schedule schedule schedule, really just can’t leave it alone even playing your biggest rival. The need to attempt to defend it is mind numbing.
The schedule talk has absolutely nothing to do with Bellaire. When people, such as myself, state the schedule is soft, we aren’t talking about being prepared for Bellaire, we are talking about being prepared for the teams in the region. Whether it be Crestview or Poland, the schedule, and Bellaire, do not compare. Crestview wouldn’t be a bad draw for the riders, and neither would Edison. I think they could be very competitive and even win against those two. Drawing Poland would be a very bad draw, whose only losses are to D3 Canfield, South Range, and predicted to lose this week to D4 7-1 Struthers. For reference, Drew has Poland at #116, while he has StC at #147, and the game against StC saw the devils up 28-0 in the first quarter.
This game absolutely will come down to trenches, as do most games. Although Bellaire has the experience edge, I’m not sure it will be enough of one to control the game. In my experience, this game always comes down to who wins the turnover battle, who has fewer penalties, and who can run the ball. I’m sure both coaches have plays saved for this game, but fundamentals are usually the deciding factor.

It'd make it more bearable to scroll through these threads. It's usually on a thread about Bellaire, but then again, we're talking about Bellaire education.
because it sure as hell sounds like you're trying to deny some people of there first amendment right !
have you ever read the United States Constitution or the bill of rights

If the game is to be won in the trenches Bellaire clearly is at a disadvantage . Back to preseason scrimmages the Bellaire lines have been pushed around and that has really limited Bellaire’s Offense. IMO this may be exactly like the UL game , close early and a second half blowout , 41 points to UL in a half !

I agree with you Flatbush. It seems almost every game Bellaire has played in has been close at half, then the second half turned into a run away. Is it that they simply get worn down only playing a very limited number of players? Are there no adjustments made going into the second half? I really don’t know. I have only seen them twice and they were simply outmanned in those 2 games, but the second half output was not there for whatever reason it may be.
