1. Steubenville - even in a down year for their standards it’s incredible to see how much better they are than the rest of the valley.

2. Wheeling Park - Big school, lot of kids, solid team.

3. St. Clairsville - great program, a lot of size, lacking skill players this year, will swap WP at 2 if they beat them.

4. Barnesville - I’d like to put them at #2 but they continue to play absolutely nobody in the regular season. That being said I could see them beating WP and StC in a head to head, but they care more about keeping their regular season win streak alive than making long playoff runs.

5. Indian Creek - Solid squad, wouldn’t beat any team listed above.

6. Wheeling Central - On the list because they’ll win the state championship but also barely beat UL so are they really that good? Or does WV football just stink out loud? Sorry I’m an OH homer.

Barnesville has some tough games coming up. Not sure why folks bash their schedule. Could it be better? Probably. But there are some good games on there.

So… Saint Clairsville over Barnesville because of their schedule… ? That makes total sense as Saint Clairsville has Brownsville, EL, BL and Cambridge on theirs. I would argue Barnesville has it tougher? . Regardless, Barnesville is a good team playing bad teams to this point. Tough schedule coming up but I imagine George Washington and Independence aren’t good if Barnesville wins out according to the talking heads here.

Morgantown's QB is really good, and they have enough talent to be ranked second in the valley. Next week will be the first time they'll go up against a solid team, giving us a chance to see what they're about. They’re also scheduled to play Park the following week.

What big wins for WV over two teams who will go 0-1 in the playoffs.

I don’t think StC is very good this year. My post was pretty much saying that football in the Valley is down bad. Steubenville is not great to their standards and they are still miles above any other local team, other than Steubenville and the Wheeling Schools I can’t see many teams getting passed the 2nd round of the playoffs.

Side note I wish Barnesville and StC would play in the regular season, there’s absolutely no reason they shouldn’t every year. Drives me nuts they won’t make this happen.

Also it’s easy to jab the Pumpkin Rollers because they go undefeated every year playing cupcakes and then get steamrolled early in the playoffs, it would benefit them to play better comp and take a couple losses rather than what they do now.

Barnesville is roughly the same distance from East Liverpool as Steubenville is from Morgantown.

I don’t understand the hatred over STC schedule. Went 13-1 lost to eventual state champ in regional final. The same team who then pounded steub earlier this year. STC is D5, playing Norwayne, linsly, park, bloom Carroll outside of their conference this year. Come on. Do better.
