Week 4 WVSSAC Class A rankings + the Linsly Cadets

Linsly only has 1 player(he is a starter) and other than freshmen who has come in the last 3 years. His family moved from the southwest US to the area. and please they didn't move because of Linsly athletics. He was on the team last year. Kids come to Linsly for their own reasons just as they go to WCC, BD, WM MF and yes I'm sure Steubenville. and from time to time not all of the players/students on these teams are from WV and/or the defined parish/district. Why is Gilmour Academy as well as other "boarding schools" members of the OHSAA ? explain that one. What is WV afraid of?

That probably isn't the best direction to take with your point. The word that you were going for is "comprehend". What is the pun for "craw"? I missed that one. You may have to further educate me because I'm just a public school kid. You have to do a better job of representing that elite education.

Now that we got that out of the way, let's get back to how good the Cadets are this year and why WV won't let them be a member. It is OK in OH for similar type schools but not in WV. Btw had WM and BD already played and BD won the game WM's rating after 4 games would be 5.25 (although I'd give them 2 bonus pts for victories by defeated opponents) which would put them at 5.75 ratings pts. Again comparing apples to apples as Linsly has played 4 games.

We all have ties to schools. That is one of the reasons we are on this website.
Bottom line is that warrior is correct. All of our neighboring states have schools like Linsly that are allowed to compete in their respective state playoffs. Once again, wv is way behind. Besides, I think the thread spells it out very clearly that there is another "a" team that should be discussed when discussing the best in wv. Whether you like it or not, Linsly is a founding member of the ovac and is here to stay. Some choose not to play them for obvious reasons. Because some are jealous, they attack what they do not understand. Like someone on another thread stated.."I know one thing that Linsly does well... Gt their kids college scholarships." I think that is the most important thing and the linsly people will take that over the wvssac every day. Now, show your true colors-that nothing some of you have posted is about hs kids-it's about your deep desire that your school could produce every year. Btw, wcc will beat linsly.

I have a small connection to Linsly. I used to swim for Bill Brubaker as part of the Y team.

I do care about Linsly football and like seeing them do well. I root for all the OVAC teams, except Wheeling Park.
