I find a few things are troubling about this case:

#1. Anyone find it odd how it's the two youngest kids getting blamed for the worst while the older kids are states witnesses or not even charged? It's been some time since I been in HS and maybe things have changed but when Sr's, Jr's, and Soph's are at a party I find it hard to believe the younger kids are in charge of things.

#2. How all the computer/phone data info can not be found, missing, or destroyed. Did officials from BCI collect the phones or did locals collect the phones and how long it took for those phones to make it to BCI.

#3. I see Steubenville Police sent a message to Youtube on the anonymous thing. That took less than 24 hours wonder if they even sent anything to Youtube about the video of the girl and if so just how long it took.

#4. At the beginning of all of this when kids were still playing Reno said it was up to Admin to handle discipline while Admin said it was up to Reno. Now that the season is over we see in the NYT interview it was Reno who was making the call (as we suspected) on who was playing or not.

I think its GREAT what they are doing to these criminals!
I have a daughter and if it happened to her I would not be able to control myself
every time I would see that pic of her lifeless body being carried I would have snapped by now and I would be behind bars and they would be 6 foot
I think they are getting off easy...

            Yea.

It is a very sad situation that starts at the top turning a blind eye and filtered down to what Patriot called "the cool crowd." I just don't get what the "cool crowd" thought was so cool then to just let this go, because the "cool crowd" keeps looking worse as time goes by. I wonder if they finally realize there was nothing "cool" about it.
Its not up to the school to do the parenting. I dont know what the staff did . Ive said this 1000 times . I cant stand any of the punks . My beef is where the blame lies . It would not be any kind of news if they were not connected to the football team. How many times do we have to go over the fact that it happened when school was not in session and alot of it didnt even happen in town . Ill defend my town and school and our coach . I dont know why the coach kept people on the team . It could have been the legal thing to do . Ask Reno for yourself . He is accesable . Go talk to his son or one of the coaches uf you want.

If coach Reno was on the porn site Grannies with Trannies June 7 at 2:10am they will know and it will be told.
You're right about that. Personally I'm looking forward to January 1st, let's face it we all know there is going to be a handful of people that underestimate the power of Anonymous which is a huge mistake but that is their problem. Anyone that would tweet or re-tweet anything that contributed to the harassment/humiliation of a 15 year-old girl that was being gang-raped is morally deficient and I can not have sympathy for them. Lesson for those involved; Karma makes her rounds!

I want to touch on something coachb said earlier. He mentioned that the many of the people on this site don't care about the victim, they care more about tarnishing the program, and are using the victim as a reason/excuse to do that.

I've been thinking about that since you've said that. You're are right in the fact that people on here are talking a LOT about the school, program, coach, etc. We are in a sports forum, and that conversation is pretty relevant.

Are there some people who are jealous of the program, and want to use this as a reason to blemish it? Sure there are... But I think that most people want to see EVERYONE with knowledge of this go down. Being that this happened during football season, I think it's very appropriate that we are talking about what kind of role or knowledge that the staff and other players had.

If this happened during track season, with track runners - I would understand your argument that people are being ridiculous, however those aren't the circumstances. The fact of the matter is, this happened during football season, with a party that started at a football coaches house. I think it's very appropriate for the program to be questioned and debate on this site.
I am so tired of that excuse; "You don't care about the victim, you're just jealous of Big Red blah blah blah." Big Red is high school football, high school football. A girl getting gang-raped while others stand around watch, taunt, and urinate on her and then to have the boys proudly display just how funny they found this in front of her peers is a hell of a lot higher on the list of priorities then high school football. Look at this situation logically, they posted these things without an ounce of fear of any consequence. I know there are innocent boys on the team, we all know this. Excuses like this coupled with the statements from school faculty is making the case for Steubenville being a bunch of idiot football crazed people which is far from the truth. There are a great deal of good people here that are disgusted with this entire situation including the fact that certain boys were allowed to continue playing.

Amen to this. I have watched this story unforld from even before it hit the main stream media. I have first hand knowledge that teachers at Big Red not only know what kid's were involved in this incident but that they had heard rumors of an April incident that they chose not to report to authorities even though there are mandatory reporting laws in Ohio. Reno and the school administartion screwed up royally by letting certain kids continue to play and they did it with an arrogance that makes me want to slap each one of them across the face. Remember that petition on Change.org that the NYT article referenced? What the article didn't tell you was that each time a signature was added to that petition, a seperate email was sent to Reno, McVey, and Crosier. The person that set up the online petition made sure that would happen. So.....that's a 169 emails that they EACH received concerning this issue, yet McVey has the nerve to say that he didn't know anything about it?! You sir, are a LIAR.

They have hijacked the rollredroll website again. Its my understanding that they moved it to an offshore server... aka, they "own" it now.
