    Getyo,

    Thanks for the nomination.

    Tyler,

Anyway you could post your list.

    Footballfan,

Cruse and Drummond dead heated in the 200 at the 1998 Shaydside Relays--21.7

Cruse still holds MAC indoor/outdoor records in the 100 and 200.

    Times I could find:
    Outdoor
    10.06 MAC open record.
    20.39 MAC Championship record.

    Indoor
    6.65 MAC championship record.
    20.79 MAC Championship record.
I loved baseball ever since Arnold Rothstein fixed the World Series in 1919.

Funny that this thread's on here.

Today at work, I was talking to a gentleman that volunteers in my department. He has been involved in coaching sports from the youth level to the college level in Pittsburgh for over 40 years. He was talking about some of the players he's coached and people he's met. Anyway, he says to me "have you ever heard of Eddie Drummond?" I said "hell yeah I've heard of him, he played his high school football in the Vallet where I grew up and is about the same age as me, so I followed his exploits on the gridiron pretty closely". Anyway, he went on to tell me how he coached Eddie back in the day before Eddie went on to Linsly.

Just thought that was kind of cool, what with this thread being on here and everything.

i'm to lazy to look.... What was Joeys best time. I know at one time he was considered the fastest man in the NFL. He was alot tall than Eddie and Prob more suited to the 400m. I dont think he ever ran it though. Bellaire had an awesome track team back then. 89-92.

What about Willie Clay. He played baseball basketball (i think)and football for Linsly and might have been the fastest person in pads I have ever seen in the valley.

          Bobby Cruse!

I believe I remember him! He didnt look like a track star at all... skinny lanky guy, wore these big huge glasses that he'd take off before he ran...

Then he'd run and it was amazing...

              Thanks for the list.

eddie drummond and brinker was always sise by side drummong always finished a step ahead so i think a 10.6 because brinkers best time was 10.7...... also denver williams doesnt hold the record anymore saine for ohio state broke the record at 10.38 and ted ginn jr had and unofficial time of 10.2. nate jackson also had a time of unofficial 10.5 for ferry

Ted Ginn does not own the state record. He ran the 110 hurdles and owns the state meet record in the 110 hurdles. Also Ohio has 3 "state records" one for each division.

                    Division I
                    Brandon Saine - 10.38

                    Division II
                    Eric Barrison - 10.55

                    Division III
                    Denver Williams - 10.55

O.K. I am not sure, but Eddie only ran the 400 once in a big meet and has the 6th fastest time in OVAC history. Also looking at some records from various youth meets (13-14 in the Pittsburgh area) he long jumped over 21' as a 14 year boy. Very nice person.

Brinker never ran a 10.7, in fact Brinker never broke the 11.0 flat mark officially. He had some tough competition and was never able to surpass that elusive mark.

I cant remember what meet I was at, I think we were at Bellaire...I was a freshman in high school. Beside me was Chad Brinker, the other side was Tony Collette, and 2 down was Eddie Drummond.

I had little black rubber balls slapping me in the face for 11 seconds.
