This article just puts what Michigan is doing into perspective. http://annarbor.com/sports/um-footba...t/?cmpid=mlive Last year they had 15 commits in the Scout top 300 this year they already have 12 out of 14 total commits.

Michigan will most likely pick up another commitment tomorrow from Gereon Conley out of Massillon Washington Cornerback 6'2 180 said he has been clocked under 4.4 probably hand timed. This is number 15 and the 13 commit rated in the top 300 on scout.

DeVeon Smith to Michigan Rb from Warren Howland ohio. He is rated the number 3 overall prospect in ohio and 58th ranked player in the country by Scout. Michigan is still in the mix for the #1 RB in the country Ty Isaac who will most likely decide shortly after his USC visit next weekend.

Not sure if they would of taken him before if he tried to commit, I had heard he didn't actually have a commitable offer and that Meyer wanted him to come to camp so they could see him throw Bama told him the same thing. But I agree he is a good dual threat prospect and Meyer is really missing out on some good ohio talent imo.

I thought when OSU signed Jalin Marshall (quarterback) as an athlete Zaire would sign as a QB. Maybe Zaire doesn't want to sit for two years behind Miller????

J T Barrett , 4 star QB from TX is being recruited heavily now.

They still have an offer out to Mitch Trubisky the QB from Mentor but I don't think he fits meyer's system, Zaire would of been perfect imo. If he didn't want to sit behind Miller for a year thats silly very rarely do freshman come in and start at QB. The Barrett situation will be interesting because Meyer could of very easily gotten Zaire IF he had a commitable offer, instead Meyer tries to go national instead of taking the home grown prospect and now he has to battle the likes of lsu and the texas schools I can't wait to see this unfold.

I kind of agree with you on Trubisky and if they had put a firm offer out to Zaire.

Maybe it's something like Matta offering and getting a commit from Shannon Scott and not even waiting to see if Burke would be a better player and fit. It clearly would have been better to wait for Burke, head and shoulders better then Scott. Maybe Meyer made a mistake for not making a quick offer to Zaire???

I would of taken Zaire in a heartbeat, but I don't have 2 national championship rings like Meyer lol You really never know for years down the line if Meyer made the correct call in the Zaire case.
Matta may have offered the right player in Scott. Trey Burke may not even be at Michigan next year he is thinking about going pro which imo is a HUGE mistake he probably wont even get drafted. A lot of people at Michigan are very concerned about him leaving...

I would have prefered Zaire going to Michigan over ND. I'm a B1G and Mich fan actually, I dispise ND. I know , I know people will say you can't like OSU and Mich but I do.

Once Michigan got Shane Morris they were done at QB, I also don't think he fits the system that Michigan is moving towards the pro style once Denard is gone. He fits very well into the ND system, but he will have to sit behind Gunner Kiel(awesome name for a QB) for years. I can honestly say that I've never met someone who is both a Michigan fan and ohio fan, who do you root for when they play? haha

First and foremost I'm an Ohio State fan, My entire year revolves around OSU football. I like Michigan like all B1G teams. I like Mich but clearly not on the same level as OSU.
