The Big Ten needs ND, they need another slow overrated team.

ND would crush WVU 7/10 times. I don't care if this is not your father's ND, it is still not WVU. I realize that they play LSU this week, but any other week, I may have a good shot at guessing Bethany. Please don't ever compare the 2 schools. Not even in the same class. Never will be. I even root for WVU sometimes, but the fans of this school are so unrealistic, it's ridiculous.

You need a reality check. Notre Dame could not have competed with WVU in football since the Rich Rod era and definitely is inferior to a Bob Huggins-coached team in basketball. Notre Dame is lucky its Catholic Subway Alumni (which included both of my grandmothers) is so loyal. ND has squandered a national recruiting base to the point it is painful to watch them compete in either sport.

I really don't think I need a reality check. I am definitely not saying this is your grandmother's Notre Dame, but maybe the reality check needs to be taken by someone. It is very comical that WVU fans believe that they are always in the same conversation with ND just because they travel well to bowl games. It just so happens that they always play these games on the east coast. Let's face it- WVU is never really in the conversation. I appreciate your loyalty to our state school, but isn't it tough to be so loyal when they are never relevant. And they are drawing from a state that ranks last in every category-aside from the party title and the instances of ass making. There is a reason our state is the butt of jokes. The reason you do get out of state recruits is because a man who makes an "x" as his signature will be accepted as a student. Notre Dame recruits nationally-WVU recruits those who are not wanted elsewhere. Again, you show your ass when these 2 schools are ever compared.

I love how people talk like WVU is a mac school. Look at what they have done when they have played SEC schools over the past 5 years. WV always competes and rarely gets embarrassed by anyone. They will continue to thrive under Holgorsen and will only get better. The Bill Stewart era was a minor setback to the program but that era is over.

Back to my original point, until the nd bash. I hope the big east dissolves so nd is forced to join a conference. They would be welcomed by all of them, but the big ten makes the most sense. With the formation of these super conferences, being an independent makes no sense. ND can't even be that arrogant to think they can overcome that. But, you never know due to the old money at the school. Btw, although only a sophomore, my daughter is considering WVU.

WVU out-of-state football recruits go through the same NCAA Clearinghouse under Prop 48 that Notre Dame and any other D-1 football recruits go through.

Please go and start a Notre Dame thread so you and the two others that care can lament your upcoming losses to one or all of the service academies.
