The Cisars don't get enough credit for their skills and toughness. All of them were studs.

Very good selection of quarterbacks on this list and probably several more could have been added too. I do think I can say with a high degree of accuracy that the three Bellaire quarterbacks are all in the top five in some order. Because of the Davis brothers, Masciarelli gets overlooked to a degree. Two time All Ohio 1st team, Division IV player of the year. Quarterbacked Bellaire to both the State Final and State Semi-final. Quarterbacked the Ohio South over the North in the Ohio North/South All Star game.

Too many good ones left off this list. John Havlichek being one. Played basketball at Ohio State four years and upon graduation
offered a contract by Paul Brown of the Cleveland Browns. Never played a down of college football. That's how good he was.

Mark Cisar is legit, I was thinking be played later - I'll give you that one.
Bruney??? I thought you were talking about an older Bruney. I like Zac, but I don't consider him on this list either. I'd take former Martins Ferry QB Ryan Church over him.
Bottom line, I stick by having Alex on here. His 3 state championships that he quarterbacked have my respect. He was THE LEADER of those teams. I think there is a lack of appreciation for what it means to win a State Championship and how special that is, let alone 3 of them.

You have always been a Justin Fox basher. By the way most of the Magnolia's passing records belonged to Todd Morris, not any of the Cisars.
Originally posted by cas8043 View PostFox would have been the fourth best in the family if his name was Cisar. Mark was behind Aaron, his brother, his sophmore year who was an all-state QB. Ryan Cisar was the toughest two-way player I have ever watched. He took a beating on offense and then would turn around and destroy people on defense while playing middle linebacker.. I am not even going to type about the Cisar's baseball stats because it would take too long.WE DID IT - 2010 AA Football Champions

1. Jose and Nate, take your pick, that's it. And yes Davis did play in the NFL. He was the backup in San Fran his first year, that counts to the NFL, which is much more than anyone else.
2. Collaros, Amedro, Masciarelli, Fred Ray.
With some of those names mentioned, watching their performances against poor competition, I'd add a few more deserving based on skill: Matt Materkoski (Slippery Rock), Mike Kernick (forget what college), Nick Rocchio (WLU), Scott Woods (Akron?), Ryan Church (W&J), and probably a leading passer from Magnolia.
