The difference in this year's Ferry team is the attitude of the defense. They are hitting everyone. Through the first 3 games, how many opponents have been carried off the field? Linsly had a player actually get knocked out. They are playing with a chip on their shoulder. I like the fire they are playing with. They beat up on a very physical Linsly team. St.C is no way near and physical as any of the 3 teams Ferry has played so far. Jalon Brown is the only chance St.C has. And I'm not sure he finishes the game. You can bet Ferry will be upset and out to prove a point come Friday night.

Exactly, as I said earlier, it comes down to toughness.

Someone from st.C was talking about their" law firm" of linebackers. LOL! Ferry has 5 TOUGH linebackers. Luke Straub, Bruce Berger, RJ Burgess, Marcus Sutton, and also Bryce Coleman. Plus, there are a couple younger kids getting some reps. Now, I'm not going to pretend to know who's daddy has the most money, or who looks the prettiest in a shirt and shorts at some combine where you don't have to hit anyone, or who thinks they were " born better". But,I know if you put Ferry's linebackers and st.C linebackers in a room and lock the door,I know who is going to walk out of that room. And that will be the difference in this game. TOUGHNESS!

Exactly, I completely agree. If we lock them in the room, all the kids from Ferry walk out and that is definitely the difference.

the late george kellas said that the difference between stc kids and ferry kids is that st c 's kids are "country club " type kids, where as ferry's are "street kids." therefore they are naturally tougher because of their up bringing. some from broken homes, single parent families. you don't realize this until senior night when you see the number of kids that are escorted by either a mother, sister, aunt or maybe a brother or adopted parent. now before you jump on me this was GEORGE KELLAS"S OPINION not mine.

now one other thing to remember is that last year ferry came into the game without their top players, that will not be the case this year. you played against a bunch of freshmen and sophomores last year, now those kids are sophomores and juniors. i know that the injured players would not have made a difference last year, but it may have been a little more competitive.

If Ferry plays angry, it could get ugly.

Linsly's QB ducked under a sack attempt by a lineman and Luke Straub came from the side as if out of nowhere to just decleat him!!! It was funny because the QB just disappeared and then he was five yards to the left of where I last saw him!!!!! Straub did that to Obieoneconobie a couple of times too from the opposite side to swallowed up!!!! Berger and Coleman can hit too!!!!!

Well considering last year's prolific offensive display by the Devils I think they may have a little anger saved up and besides we do enjoy putting a pounding on St.C !!!!! And from a playoff perspective this is the points cow game along with Indian Creek because the rest of the Buckeye 8 isn't going to produce nearly as many second tier points as these two combined!!!!

i thought bellaire had an 8-2 team last year. that doesn't sound like a mediocre team to me. i mean the past bellaire teams when they were players. as for donnieyags or whatever your name is, how do you know that we haven't caused a team to jump offside at key moments in a game. you don't cover ferry unless they play stc. i know for a fact that we have because i have seen it for myself. you mean to say that we had no affect on stc 2 years ago when we beat your unbeaten red devils. you mean to say that the noise didn't stop some of your players from hearing the snap count and jump . if that is the case. we will have to remember that friday night and just get a little bit louder. while it can be a very noisy stadium , it can also be very quite too.

okay. i am just having a little bit of fun myself. i love it. we aren't saying anything that we don't already know about each other. i do agree that this is shaping up to be another interesting game. all the games so far have been good ones.

You know, I've been wondering the same thing myself. Might be time to put in an application. All I know is these two things: As a LB, your first step should always be up, not back ( i.e. Ferns) and as an Ohio State fan, I'm glad to see Ferns going up north.
