Big Red defense is doing an awesome job this year. I give props to the scout team. Has anyone stopped to imagine the beating they take every practice to get this defense where they are now?

We as "fans of the ", sometimes get carried away with our thoughtful insight, of a high school sport.
I know some of the players do get on here & read what is posted, because my Sister In-laws boys, a Jr & Fr, on this years team, do it from time to time. They think is funny how a group of old farts, can get on here & talk like they have any effect on the game or the out come of the game, lol. Trust me, I get to hear about at Sunday's dinners a lot.
As for some BR fan being just a little overzealous at times, it happens. I don't think it's really meant to be any type of disrespect, it might be just a lot of confidence & high hopes for such a good group of kids.
As for being humble & remembering back to the "94" team, wow Nate Johnson was a beast ! I'm one of those fans who left at halftime, with BR leading by a large margin. At that time, my wife was pregnant with our 1st kid, and she wanted to leave so we could get back & get some pizza ! We only lived a few doors down from Iggy's pizza shop on Lawson Ave, at that time. Couldn't pick up the game on the radio during the drive back, so we didn't get the final score of the game until I walked into get the pizza. To this day, I still blame her for leaving the game at halftime & BR losing, lol

Sounds like you should have waited to get her pregnant until after the game/season? Blame your wife? What were YOU thinking? Although that 9 month window will always interfere with our extended season, what's a man, err Big Red supporter to do?

Appreciate your confidence in Big Red, I think it'll be a closer game than the first time. They are at full strength and we are in great shape also. If our offense fully clicks and our defense continues it's dominating play, your prediction could be spot on. Weather looks a heck of a lot better than both of us had to endure last weekend. Realistically, I expect them to be a little tougher on D and can't see them scoring more than twice on our D. It's all the X factors- splash plays, turnovers, and penalties. I know they're coming to play and so are we. It's us against the parochials now. Have a great Thanksgiving.
