2019 Bellaire Big Reds

Fact: the Buckeye 8 was and is an all sport conference. At one time, Bellaire AND Union Local were both prepared to drop out and it became clear that Beaver and East Liverpool were going to join. They changed their mind when it was decided to split the conference into two divisions to minimize travel.
Fact: the Buckeye 8 South with StC, Ferry, HC, UL, and Bellaire is by far the tougher division.
Fact: the last time Bellaire played Indian Creek, Bellaire won 31-13.

Want more facts? Bellaire won seven regular season games this past year. Two of the teams they beat are gone for next season, now three more are rumored to be dropping Bellaire after next year, and the last two are Buckeye 8 South schools and must play each other. What does that sound like to you?

I don't think Sherwood was happy with the 2018 schedule, including playing SS and StC back to back. Maybe he can get that corrected for 2020. He got hit with having to replace two schools in 2019, and I'm guessing it was easier to find a week two opponent than one for week seven. I'm hearing two more are going to drop after next season. Apparently everyone wants to beat Bellaire, but nobody wants to lose to them.
I think Garaway and Cambridge were good pickups though.

Mike is going to have it tough getting games for the Bigreds. My understanding is that he is trying to fix other things also.

Well, we wonder about lifting too. But it appears nobody knows anything, or doesn't want to say. I also wonder if Bellaire is going to drop back down to D-VI this year.
