And the sad thing is only 2 teams seeded lower than 8th (two 10s) made it to the regional finals - I read that last week at ohsaa.org. Doing the math, that’s 2 out of 448 playoff teams or 0.45% who benefited from the OHSAA’s exceeding generosity in allowing them in - and they both lost over the weekend. Less than one-half of 1% but you know the OHSAA is making a killing from all of these extra games at the beginning… the all-important Week 11.

Exactly. It’s at the expense of the athletes but 16 games, not 17, which is still too many. The NFL themselves only went to 17 a few years ago. But eh who cares, maximizing profit is all that matters…

Honestly, the only benefit I see to the expanded playoff is the ability for teams like Hartley to schedule up and go through the ringer and still make the playoffs. It also allows teams to create a very weak schedule and still get in no issue. A good example of which was the first round matchup between Edison and Mooney, Mooney played a tougher schedule and thus had the worse record, but came out the better team.

That makes more sense than anything regarding scheduling I’ve read or heard. The expanded playoffs gives teams two very distinct options. It allows schools to maybe add a couple high caliber teams without risking a playoff berth or, keep the schedule as light as possible. Personally I think 16 teams is too many. I remember the days when a playoff berth was earned and a reward for a great season. Now we have teams with losing records and frankly teams that just don’t belong. They might as well reduce the regular season to 9 games and let everyone in.

I see this is another school that is in a city or town that OHSAA doesn't recognize as existing. Wyoming has a city government, a post office, and a school district. Yet, OHSAA still refers to it with the totally absurd moniker of Cincinnati Wyoming. It's the same way that OHSAA doesn't know that Bexley and Boardman are separate cities as well. From now on, I will refer to the school as Wyoming and nothing else.

I don’t think it cost anywhere near that. The new Crew venue did however. Now that I think of it, that might be exactly what you’re saying.
Since you were referring to Historic.
I wouldn't want the games played in Historic, much rather them stay at TB.
