You named 4 activities where participants can drink beer and still be competitive. You forgot cornhole and horse shoes. Next time I am at a bar, bowling alley, picnic or golf course I am going to ask somebody to do a backflip with a full twist.

I did one of those on my way home from a New Years Eve party. First time I ever tried one.

Here is my current stance.

When Cheering has a scoreboard, then I will consider it a sport.

From what I have seen, currently, athletes perform and then their score is kept a secret.
Why?

If it was a sport, we would have scores and a scoreboard.
It would also add to the excitement of each performance and keep the crowd interested.

Therefore,
Gymnastics is a sport. We immediately get scores and there is a scoreboard
