I know they had at least 7 dedicated wrestlers ready to go and they had someone who would wanted to get certified to coach but I can't answer why it never happened. AD made decision I was told. Any dropped wrestling program hurts our area.

My aplogies omniscient stud. I do remember that it usually isn't over until 9ish.

Smart move on delaying the tournament a week. It would be terrible for teams to come and be stuck overnight, in fact, there could be a possibility that when the clock strikes midnight, they would start to wrestle again and take full advantage of the 5 matches per 24 hour rule.. I hope all the teams will be able to attend next week.

How did the seeding at 119 go? I was told it was going to be on criteria basis. Davis is a state qualifier and is 5th seed. Nolte was a State alternate and is 3rd seed. If Quinn 4th seed is above Davis because he has defeated him this year, then he should be above Wiltshire too. He has defeated him this year also. Wiltshire placed below both Nolte and Quinn at the OVACs.

Thats a good question, according to the entry form (which is also posted of shaggy's site under the buckeye local tourney section) the criteria is as follows

                1. 2009 HS State Placer (Higher Place gets Higher Seed)
                A. Same Weight Class
                B. Different Weight Class

                2. HS State Placer prior to 2009 ( Higher Place gets Higher Seed)
                A. Same Weight Class
                B. Different Weight Class

                3. 2009 HS State Qualifier
                A. Same Weight Class
                B. Different Weight Class

                4. HS State Qualifier prior to 2009
                A. Same Weight Class
                B. Different Weight Class

                5. 2009-2010 Varsity Record to Date (*Must have 10 Matches*)

Only Varsity Wrestlers with .500 record or better will be seeded
Up to 8 seeds per Weight Class
Lines will be drawn for less than .500 records

My only other guess (I don't know if this is the case or not) is that it could be Some other wrestler has beat Davis and Wiltshire beat him resulting in a 3 man chain of guys who beat each other

                    Great point...

The answer to this is that I messed up and for some reason or not did not know that DAvis was a SQ. He should be right up there in the seedings. I will have it corrected for this week. Nolte is seeded above those others because he was a SQ 2 yrs ago.

It looked as if 103 was a little out of sorts as well. Particularly Outward/Callarik/Bell. If I'm not mistaken, Callarik and Outward are split 1-1 and Callarik beat Bell from Edison. How did Bell get ranked 5th and Callarik 7th?

Seeding is based on criteria....if those are not meet it goes to current record...there is no head to head component because of out of state teams
