They must be jealous of Big Red just like everyone else.

I have one observation. This certainly seems like a witch hunt against a football team and it's program. Now everyone can claim that they want "justice for the girl". That's the "default" claim. It sure doesn't look like thats what people on this board are really looking for. Every time this topic is mentioned they talk about Steubenville's football team. How the football team should be punished. How the coach should be punished and fired. How everyone on the "football " team should pay the price. Go back and look at the post within the last 4 months. There is not much mention of the victim. It is so very obvious what most of you want out of this. No one likes a winner unless you are a fan of theirs. Especially in the Ohio Valley. I don't know much about the make up of the people there, but by reading all of your post about this matter you certainly show what your primary goal is. You are using the so called victim in this situation to help your cause. It seems to me that most of you are so upset at the Steubenville football program that you are willing to except anything bad about them as the truth. No matter if you know that its true or not. Stop and think about it. It's funny how consistant most of you are about what should be done in this situation. You all are users. You could care less about this victim. All you want is for the Steubenville Big Red program to get hurt. To get back at all those "arrogant" fans that spout off about how good their team is all the time. To hurt that coach that seems to be bigger than life. The coach that all outsiders hate because he is the reason they are winning. This is a very terrible situation for all involved. The girl and her parents and the 2 boys and their parents. I'm guessing non of you have children, or if you do they must be perfect. Contrary to what most of you want to believe, this is about 3 young adults and their parents. This is about getting to the bottom of this with the FACTS and letting the court decide. Of course, once again, you say the courts in Steubenville are "rigged". The girl can't get a fair trial. That makes you mad too. It's easy to see in your posts. You have to be an idiot if you can't read into the post of most of the people here. What a shame that most of you are using this situation to hurt a football team. A team that is made up of young adults like your children are. A team that happens to win alot and everyone hates a winner. It's so obvious what most of you have as an agenda. Now you will answer my post as I would expect. You will use the old default card that I mentioned earlier. You'll talk (for a few minutes) about how the victim is the reason you want justice and then after a few of those post you'll get back on the REAL agenda. You know what your REAL agenda is. The funny thing is SO does everyone else that is not inolved in these conversations for the sake of the 3 peole involved. Have a Wonderful Christmas. I pray that this truly didn't happen to this young girl. For both her sake and the sake of the boys! That's how all of you should feel!

I'll ask the coach what action to protect the victim would you expect from the sports-oriented users of this forum?

Would that action include asking for justice? Could it include asking for prevention of hiding the perpetrators behind the Big Red football machine? Could it be that folks are tired of inaction (or lackluster action) by the school administration and Reno?

What actions should be taken by folks who are concerned that young girls are being abused, since you feel it necessary to decide what's appropriate?

I lived in Colorado when football recruits were abusing co-eds and getting away with it because they were 'on a recruiting visit' and 'boys will be boys' and 'we can't lose good recruits so we have to let them have a good time while they are visiting'. The football team tried to hide the perpetrators and tried to stifle public outcry. Very similar situations.... the people in the town of Boulder spoke out, and eventually the judicial system caught up with the public opinion. Eventually the coach was fired (for other reasons as well). If the public would have bowed to the intimidation tactics, then the rapes and sexual abuse would have kept repeating.

You will claim that anyone who attempts to refutes your post have an agenda to destroy Big Red, and you will demean their post as unimportant. But, again, I want to see your list of actions that can be taken by users of this forum (about half who no longer live in the Valley, but we have the right to be concerned about the place where we grew up, where our families still live, the place we want to progress and for there to be economic opportunity, etc).

hare....What I did was read the post on this topic and in "the fire". My conclusions were as i stated. I also stated "most". I didn't say "all the people". Again, you bring up the default fact and i understand that's what you have to do. You may or may not be one of the "most" that I am talking about. I really don't care. I'm just telling you what my conclusion was after reading the post on here. I do not have much interaction with the Steubenville program. I do however know Reno (on a professional level) because he speaks at our clinics. I also know most all the high school coaches in Ohio. I can tell you that NONE of them would lie to protect their players from a VERY bad crime. I've talked to him about this situation (btw have you talked to him?). He wants justice to be done no matter what.

You bring up college teams. This is no where near the college level. College coaches have to win to keep their jobs and some will do whatever it takes to win. The successful high school teams in Ohio are not cheating to win. Although you may think they are unless your's is a team that is successful.

I will not refute anything you say. I merely said what kind of post would follow mine. Sir..Read the past post on this situation and see what "MOST" post talk about. It's not about the victim. It's about punishing the Steubenville football program and ALL that belong to it.

I hope and pray for the girls sake and the boys, that this crime did not happen.

How do you know what anonymous has and what they don't? I am just amused at WTOV9's report that local LE are calling in "state and federal authorities to get to the bottom" of things. What a joke. Did they call in state or federal authorities to get to the bottom of the rape? Did they act this quickly to recover cell phones, etc.? HELL no. But now they are calling in the feds to find out who "hijacked" a privately owned and operated website that discusses Big Red Football. Just when I think that the city can't make larger asses of themselves, they do! ROTFLMAO Pass the popcorn, please!

I don't think everyone's as panicked as some think. I swear I saw MOW at Walmart today, decked out in full SHS gear buying gifts like he didn't have a care in the world. And if all they have on his is emailed photos of some mature women in the buff then I wouldn't be too worried either.

The site is back up. Some innocent kid was scrambling to prove his innocence on Twitter last night ( which he did). Idk if this is gonna go anywhere. If no one has any naughty searches on their hardware then what exactly is the worst that can happen? Releasing their phone numbers to the public?

Personally, I hope I don't know what I'm talkIng about. Hopefully there is dirt on these people, they make a public apology, and Anon still releases it all to the public. Why shouldn't we know? They shouldn't get a reward for issuing an apology that should have taken place already, without coercion.

Then after all the incriminating stuff is public the assholes will get fired and run outta town and this corruption will be gone from SHS. I don't believe everyone there is evil. But many involved w the football program are more concerned about wins than what's right. I think we all know that (sans MOW n a few others). And that starts with the top. Reno. He just rubs me the wrong way, always has but I couldn't place it. I thought he was a decent family man, I see at mass on Sundays. I thought maybe our personalities clashed and that was it, no big deal. But now I think he's just not a good person. The small town celebrity has gone to his head along with the machismo of being a football coach, throw in some Italiano and what do you have: Reno.

Get some good people in there that know how to run a HS football program and they can pick up where they left off, no doubt. But there's no fun in winning if you do it with a bunch of assholes. I didn't think that was the case years ago at SHS, but it is and we've all known it since this came out.

Kill the head and the body will die. So long Coach Sac, God willing. And all others with their head in the sand.
